Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

A little unsure about what variables to add under try...

I think I am close with "Try" for my function. I am just not sure how to label my floats under Try. Is there some way I need to write these so I can create the correct assumption? Thanks

def add(num1, num2):
    return float(num1) + float(num2)
try:
    A = float(num1)
    B = float(num2)
except ValueError:
    return None
else:
    return True

You are on the right track. The try statement needs to be indented to be part of the function code block. Then move the top return statement to the try/else block:

def add(num1, num2):
    try:
        A = float(num1)
        B = float(num2)
    except ValueError:
        return None
    else:
        return float(num1) + float(num2)
