20,008 PointsA great idea for a course - Introduction to virtualization
I want to share an idea for a course: "Introduction to virtualization". I know that virtualization is a powerful developing tool (or actually "feature") one can utilize.
A course that will give general understanding of how emulation actually works, how exactly a Windows can run on Linux and vice versa (not as compatibility layers at all but focusing only on emulators).
A course that will give a student a firm understanding of how the robots at Microsoft in Redmond, could understand a virtual Windows machine as a machine just like any other with its own PC name, IP addresses, and all that.
This course should be different from the pro course about VirtualBox (a program I personally know and work with) but rather something more basic, giving firm knowledge on the general principles of virtualization, of hardware, software (especially Operating systems) and WAN/web infrastructure.
