Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsIt's because you placed it at the top of the CSS style sheet. Media queries should always go at the bottom/end of a CSS style sheet. Where you have it now, the rule it is targeting will be overridden by the another rule targeting the same element.
If you move the media query to the end of the sheet, the code will pass.

14,738 PointsTo follow up on this answer as obviously named CSS stands for Cascading style sheet so this stays true to how you write it your H1 style is taking priority over the media query.
