8,397 PointsSwift 3 Enum and Objects Code challenge
I have no idea why my code isn't passing, It keeps saying expected declaration of Robot, Idk why
class Point {
var x: Int
var y: Int
init(x: Int, y: Int) {
self.x = x
self.y = y
}
}
enum Direction {
case left
case right
case up
case down
}
class Robot {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(direction: Direction) {
// Enter your code below
switch direction {
case .up:
return location.y += 1
case .down:
return location.y -= 1
case .right:
return location.x += 1
default:
return location.x -= 1
}
}

8,386 PointsYou are close but there are a couple of problems with your code.
1) Leave the external name (underscore) in the move function. It is included in the starter code, but it's removed from your solution. You may have done this without noticing.
2) Remove the return statements in the switch statement. Your function is not set to return anything.
3) Change the stored property being changed by the switch statement to "self"
Here's the code for the Robot Class:
class Robot {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(_ direction: Direction) {
// Enter your code below
switch direction {
case .up: self.location.y += 1
case .down: self.location.y -= 1
case .right: self.location.x += 1
case .left: self.location.x -= 1
}
}
}
