I'll kick things off! 💬

I'm Ryan Mouser, the Content & Community Marketing Specialist here at Treehouse. My pronouns are he/him. I was 15 years old when I started learning to code in PHP for a popular text-based MMORPG game. I've been with Treehouse for over 2 years now and have had the amazing opportunity to wear many different hats. I've been learning with Treehouse since 2015 (you can check out my previous profile here).

Currently, I'm working alongside our world-class team on some exciting opportunities to bring the Treehouse Community closer together. Stay tuned! 😀

Outside of Treehouse, I have the joy of living life with my incredible wife, our 3 awesome kids, and our 2 cat furbabies. We love to make music, garden, cook, play games, and watch fun TV.

My big plan and lifelong dream is to launch a company that builds, designs and manufactures cybernetic whole body prosthetics for radical life extension. I plan to use the in demand skills I'm developing at Treehouse in my life so that I may obtain a high paying job at a FAANG company. Gain the necessary experience and be financially stable to launch my company.

I'm Sarah. I'm an academic at heart. A habitual student learning and improving my metacognition. Also, I am interested in improving my understanding of computer science. Data structures and algorithms across multiple programming languages enthralls me.

I'm so thrilled to start sharing more of myself and documenting my journey with all of you.

For the longest time I've had the wrong perceptions on math. I had a math phobia. In the past I dislike math only because I had poor self image in my own abilities to master mathematics and I didn't have the motivation or support from my peers to enable me to be confident in mastering it.

Now my perception has changed. I like that doing math problems creates new neural pathways and expands cognitive capabilities in the brain.

I love the learning process and find joy in the challenge of it.

Hey everyone! I hope you all are staying safe. My name is Josh Date and I joined treehouse back in October last year.

My big plan for 2021 is to get a software engineering job by the end of the year. One of my dreams is to one day build a successful startup. I plan on using the skills gained from treehouse to become a better developer, learner and teacher (I would love to be able to help others who are also starting out).

I am not working on any personal projects at this moment because I am currently on week 9 for the treehouse Javascript tech degree. When I finish the degree I plan on joining a hackathon and building some projects for my portfolio.
