15,711 PointsLet's make sure we're always working with floats. Convert your arguments to floats....
Not sure what I'm doing wrong here...
def add(x, y):
try:
a = float(x)
b = float(y)
except ValueError:
return None
else:
return a + b

10,143 PointsYou need to indent everything after the def add(x,y):
Otherwise you have an empty function and some random code floating in your workflow.
def add(x, y):
try:
a = float(x)
b = float(y)
except ValueError:
return None
else:
return a + b
