General Discussion Connecting to the Virtual Machine via SSH

I am working from Windows 10, so once he went into his Mac to set up the ssh I got lost. Beginner, please help.

I have the port forwarding set up and I went ahead and did the updates to ubuntu, but i just cant get this SSH figured out through window. I downloaded Putty, but I am not sure what to do with that. I am a beginner, please help.
