Creating a free site on Wordpress.org

Hello,

I don't see videos on creating a free site on Wordpress.org. I would just be doing this for practice. I can see a big disadvantage would be for sharing - you would have wordpress.org as part of the URL. Are there any negatives to creating a free Wordpress site on Wordress?

Hi,

I think you are confusing wordpress.org with wordpress.com. The biggest issue that you will run into is customization. If you have little need to customize it then no there isn't much difference and a lot of the things in Treehouse lessons will not work on wordpress.com
