Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

Bummer! java.util.MissingFormatArgumentException: Format specifier '%s' () Restart CAN ANYBODY HELP WITH USING %s

this is my code, whenever im compile it keep telling me error

public class Introductions {

public static void main(String[] args) {
    Console console = System.console();

    console.printf("Hello, my name is %s \n, firstName");

Hi You have couple of mistakes here that, I can see. First - you don't need /n as you use it to start new line, which in this case you don't need. Also firstName is not in "" as it doesn't need to appear as a text and is variable. Your code should look like this:

String firstName = "Meteib"; console.printf("My name is %s.", firstName);

(Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining, but if you compare both codes you will see the difference.)
