syntax error

i get syntax error with the following code. it doesnt print any numbers and says "unexpected end of input" function getRandomNumber(upper) { return Math.floor( Math.random() * upper ) + 1;

let counter = 0;
do { console.log( the random number is ${getRandomNumber(10)}. ); counter += 1; } while ( counter < 10 );

It looks like the closing brace needed to end the getRandomNumber function is missing.
