Today we're going to show you how to set up a Linux server running as a virtual machine on your development computer. This is a great way to set up a sandbox where you can try out deploying your applications. There's a lot of different virtualization software out there, but we're going to use VirtualBox because it's free, open-source, and easy to use. Likewise, there are lots of different Linux distributions we could install, but we've chosen Ubuntu because it's commonly used.
See the teacher's notes on each video in this workshop for additional information and troubleshooting tips.
